Techvedic.***

Techvedic sold me a version of Microsoft Word for £129 this was O.K. for about 9 months then stopped working and asked for some imput code which I had never had. I contacted them and they said that there had been a technical problem which they would solve by taking over control of my computer. It then worked O.K. for a few more months then the same happened. They refused to speak to me unless I paid a further fee which I refused to do as I had purchased the thing outright. In the first instant I believed that I was dealing with Microsoft itself, how it came to be transferred to Techvedic I have no idea. There letters by mail to the Chief Executive of Microsoft have not produced a reply at all. I feel that there must be some connection. I would have expected a reply from Microsoft and feel that they could be equally dodgy.

I was conned into buying this repair service, they claimed that there were many bugs on my NEW windows 8.1 system. The pc-world man told me there could be no bugs on the system because it was a new computer.

Easytechy had no answer to this and avoided a solution.

Needless to say I would not recommend this repair company and I note there have been other complaints.

How can a new version of microsoft have so many bugs ? Sounds a bit fishy to me.

Scammed into paying for Microsoft Office £170 but i had no ownership of this product

In November 2014 I was being supported for my computer by Techvedic and because I was having problems with EMails they suggested I purchase Microsoft Office with Outlook (I had BT Mail before) and this would solve my problems. They took over my computer, downloaded Office for £169 and my EMails improved. However, as I researched later, they did not give me the user name & password at that time for Office but simply 1 months support. In June 2015 I changed my computer and asked them for my Microsoft ownership details for Office and they refused to send it to me and I have consequently had to purchse Office & Outlook again. In my view they are scammers and had downloaded an illegal copy of Office to my computer last November.

I had a pop up window that looked like the one you get when you do a Norton scan that said EMERGENCY-CRITICAL ERRORS FOUND CALL 0800 756 ****. So of course I called them and the computer engineer told me this happens when your computer and software puts its hands up and says please help me I can't fight all these virus alone. So, I let him take control of my computer it was a long call with me being put on hold many times because I had too many problems he had to keep "going" to his supervisor for help. He said I had many Trojans that were days away from taking over my HD and whole system including the router and I needed to buy their software for £186 at once or face a total *** of my system. When I declined the engineer got really pushy with me and blunt, so I ended the call and deleted some recently installed programs that looked suspect and ran a Norton scan and now it is running smoothly. Norton didn't detect any Trojans at all. The call also lasted an hour and because I called from a mobile it's not toll free so I had to pay nearly £13 to listen to a bunch of multiplicative lies. All in all. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!!

This is a total SCAM! I called them after getting a popup on my computer saying to call a free 0800 number and the guy on the other end asked me to install remote access viewing software.

My son told me not to and when I tried to call them back the number was blocked!

If they put remote viewing software on your computer they can watch everything you do on your computer and get passwords and banking details etc.

Do not fall for it!

It's a ad-pop there is more than likely nothing wrong with your computer, they certainly haven't found anything with an ad popup. They are just preying on your fears, hoping you ring where they will inevitably seel you overpriced rubbish you don't need.

I bet if you stupidly rang them and stupidly gave them access to your computer (imagine it's brand new out of the box from pc-world and you haven't even loaded up a google page yet) they would still say your computer is a ticking time bomb virus/malware wise.

Never ever ever click on a pop-up ad or take any notice of what they said.

In my experience there are exactly 8,284,995 scammers on the internet trying to suck your money from you.

I totally agree. I got the same popup after they had set up a bogus antivirus software download, which alerts them to the fact that you are having problems.

They 'fixed' it remotely but almost immediately the same problem was happening, ie search results going off to different places. I have asked for a refund, but they are claiming that they carried out the work. Yes, but badly. I paid £169.99.

I have now stopped my bank card and reported them to the anti fraud-police.co.uk - my bank is going to give me a refund. These people are absolute charlatans, but very convincing.

Apparently, if you don't stop your card, then they take money from your account further down the line. AVOID!

Added upgrades and programmes to my order with no Authorisation from me!Offered a Refund and then "withdrew"it! because i had contacted my bank to try and stop payment of my order.will not accept any form of "cancellation"although entirely legal and within their Terms and regulations! You have a big problem when you try and "decipher" what the Advisor is actually saying!and you end up with an order that certainly was not authorised!I have contacted quite a few organisations to get more "publicity"to these situations, and i think they enjoy trying to "scam" old age pensioners like myself!I advise potential customers to stay clear !

TOTAL SCAM

I kept getting popups on my browser when I clicked on certan links, telling me that my computer was infected etc. and to call an 0800 number. I called the number and the person on the other end told me I have a virus and said that I had to install remote access software so they could fix it. I didn't do this as I knew straight away it was a scam. I allowed BT to do this before because they are a recognised company, but I'm not allowing a company I don't know to have access to my computer. If these scammers are given access, they can literally track every single keystroke you make, therefore they will see all your passwords and security details and banking passwords etc. They can also access private files. Be warned.

IT'S TOTALLY A SCAM!

Had the same message and of course panicked and rang them, they started blurting out all these technical terms that I did not understand and said I needed to install some software that would cost just under £200! of course at this time I clicked on as I have apple care so I shouldn't be paying any cost, when I tried to tell the woman I want to talk to apple directly before agreeing, she too got very pushy! I the rang apple and they uninstalled a plug-in that I'd downloaded which allowed pop ups and told me all was fine with my mac, there were no viruses at all!

Fraud Guy from Techwadic try to cheat me – in the name of Techvedic

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
It became very problematic for me when I received a call, as the tech support guy was saying that he is calling from Techvedic and selling an Antivirus worth 59 USD at a discounted price. I was surprise as I am already a customer of Techvedic and I am using their services for the last 2 years. They (Techvedic) usually inform me about promotional offers by email. I requested the caller to spell the company’s name he spelled it as “Techwadic”. After few minute of the conversation with the person calling from Techwadic, I denied to buy anything. Then I called up at Techvedic number 1-85*-859-**** to know more about it. The guy named Oliver advised me to read the “Fraud Alert” information at Techvedic.com after reading about that I understood the whole scenario. I would really thank god that I was not cheated by these Techwadic fraud guys.

Techvedic lied to get control of my PC

My hp pc was working fine but would not go into sleep mode. I researched hp contact number and was given the 800-804-****. This is a number many people have seen on the phone ( they will present themselves as norton, hp, windows, and many more) I told them about my issue and they asked for remote access, since I thought they worked for hp I could not see why not. With remote access they found norton was damaging my computer and caused corrupt files.( untrue ) then offered my a one year subscription for software support 199$. Since he told me my pc was about to crash I did it. After everything was said and done I was suspicious of the deal. I contacted norton and found this was a scam. My router was hacked. Contact my bank and a refund was granted but yet to hit my bank account

hii.. techvedic are BIG scammers... dont ever trust them and please tell about this FAKE company to other people also

I just read the email about Techvedic pretending to be MicroSoft. The same thing happened to me last year where Techvedic told me they were part of MicroSoft and took remote access of my computer.

Techvedic are scammers they are involved in pharming. Pharming is where they are able to remotely access your machine everytime you access the internet. So everything you download they are also able to see including all your passwords.

Pharming is just one form of remote access tools they use to run scams. The fact they are using this tool and x-scripting means they are involved in organized crime

Techvedic is a telephone computer scam

Techvedic contacted me and claimed that my computer was infected with viruses. I asked them how they knew that and they told me that they worked for HP (the brand of my computer) and that their systems showed that my computer was heavily infected and was sending out spam. They told me to go Run and type in some commands which showed me some kind of log file full of errors. I was shocked and asked them what I should do. They explained that for only $199 I could get their support services for a year and they would clean it all up on the spot. I said okay and gave them my credit card. After they took payment they gave me more commands so they could log in remotely. They spent a few hours on my computer doing different things that I didn't understand. When they were done my computer wouldn't even connect to the internet and they said that they would have to call me back the next day to address the problem. They never did! So I ended up contacting Geek Squad who came and fixed everything up. The Geek told me that I fell for a common telephone computer scam and to have my credit card company cancel the transaction. So after contacting the credit card they also said the same thing and gave me my money back, but my wife and I had to get new cards!

Techvedic are involved in organised crime

Last year where Techvedic told me they were part of MicroSoft and took remote access of my computer. Techvedic are scammers they are involved in pharming. Pharming is where they are able to remotely access your machine everytime you access the internet. The fact they are using this tool and x-scripting means they are involved in organized crime. They also have an offline presence. They entered my office and house. I was subject to what is called Acute Persistent Threat for about a year and eventually had to give up my job. They are linked to organized crime in New Delhi

Put simply hackers (Techvedic) do need to be killed. I've gone through an advanced persistent threat.

These hackers (Techvedic) are involved in organized crime and my mum has been raped (in her old age). They do everything to avoid detection. I can't report it to the police because I know they were entering my home but can't be sure my mum in her old age was actually raped or just her imagination because she was so scared that they were entering our home when I was working overseas.

I tell the police and if it isn't true they won't take me seriously when something more disastrous happens. I say kill them
